bush babies attack

interesting night last night.. long story short, our entire dorm was woken up around 5:30am by one of the girls screeching and all the lights being turned on. apparently she'd head 'growling' sounds and thought there was a lion in the room.. and quite literally got another girl out of bed to help her look for the source of the noise.

one of the 'bush babies' had climbed in through the roof (the houses aren't actually enclosed, there's a gap between the roof and walls) and was rummaging about in her clothes that she's left all over the floor trying to find the biscuits she hadn't put away in the fridge. once they saw it i think they tried to chase it out again, which to me seemed slightly pointless given they have an escape route anyway.. but yeh. it was a charming wake-up call and from then on i was lying in bed awake for an hour because the said bush babies were going absolutely mental outside. i'm talking loud screeching and fighting for a good hour straight, every time you'd think they were done it'd start up again. plus i'd chosen a bunk in a corner in order to see outside all around me which meant they were literally screaming into my ears. i eventually drifted off slightly amused by the whole situation because we really are in the wild, there's no 'mute' button for them.. i've gotta say i'm glad i brought ear plugs with me and i'll definitely be using them in the future!! 

p.s. don't be fooled by their decievingly 'cute' appearances, these things aredefinitely satan's spawn
